Pet Boarding Items You Can Bring from Home
Food
Please bring your pet’s own food from home. A change in diet can upset your pet’s stomach, causing vomiting and/or diarrhea. Bring your pet’s properly portioned food by day in individual disposable zip lock bags (1 meal per bag) labeled with their full name and any instructions attached. We also suggest packing a little extra food just in case! If you do not bring your pet's food individually bagged then you will be subject to a $5.00 a day fee for non bagged food.
Medication
Does your pet take medication every day? If your pet is receiving medication(s) during their stay, you are responsible for bringing something to put it in (pill pockets, wet food, etc). If you do not bring something for us to give the medications in, we will be happy to provide pill pockets, 4 for $1. Medications that are to be given need to be in their original containers with labels and directions that are legible. We WILL NOT accept medications that are in bags or placed in food bags.
Boarding Health Policy
Our canine and feline policies require that your pet be current with the following treatments. Record of current vaccinations will need to be provided PRIOR to booking your pet’s reservation.
- Vaccinations (at least 7 days before boarding)
- Dogs: Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, and Canine Influenza
- Cats: Rabies, FVRCP, FeLV
- Negative intestinal parasite screen (within the last 6 months)
- Monthly parasite preventatives
- Negative FeLV/FIV combo test result within the last 12 months(for cats to spend time in the central play area)
- A physical exam is required at least 2 weeks prior to the stay for each new patient. This appointment is complimentary unless your pet is due for vaccines/services that are required for boarding (with the exception of canine influenza vaccine)
- If you are in need of immediate boarding services, please contact us to see if special accommodations are available.
- Spayed or neutered if over 6 months of age.
If your pet is receiving medical services during their stay, they need to be dropped off between 7:30am-9:00am. The $15 early drop off fee is waived in the case of a pet receiving services during their stay.
Safety Policy
The safety of our canine guests and Pet Oasis team members is our top priority. We will perform a complimentary temperament test to evaluate your pet’s suitability for the daycare environment. Please make us aware of any food allergies that your pet might have. Daycare and daycamp dogs need to have a quick release collar. Please see a team member for more information.
Additionally, your pet must be fully up-to-date with the following:
- Rabies, Bordetella, DHPP, and Canine Influenza vaccinations, which must be given at least 7 days before their daycare visit
- Negative fecal screening for intestinal parasites (within the last 6 months)
- Monthly internal parasite preventatives
- Flea and tick prevention
- Spayed or neutered by 7 months old
Temperament Testing
Temperament testing is available Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The goal of temperament testing is to see if our daycare/day camp environment is right for your dog. Your pet will have time to get used to the space and the people here, then meet with a neutral dog overseen by at least 2 trained team members. We’ll also perform aggression tests and see how your dog does in a larger play group.
We require a temperament test for every dog. If your dog does not pass, they might still be able to participate in our day camp! The only difference is that they will be rotated between a kennel, solo play time, and training.
Health Requirements for Day Camp
- Current vaccines
- Spayed/neutered over 6 months
- Quick release collar
